This role offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students in a school setting. You will provide essential assistance to Speech-Language Pathologists by conducting assessments and delivering targeted therapy services aimed at enhancing students' communication skills. The position is contract-based, spanning from the immediate start through the end of the school year, and involves work across two sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language therapy services under the supervision of SLPs
- Conduct Spanish language assessments if bilingual abilities are available
- Assist in managing caseload overflow and maintain effective therapy schedules
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate session documentation and report outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in an elementary school environment preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children
- Capability to work 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
