A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Oakland, CA. This contract role requires candidates with prior experience working in school settings and the ability to manage a varied caseload throughout the full academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering speech therapy services to students
- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans targeting speech and language needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for assigned students
- Collaborate with educators and other school staff to support student communication goals
- Manage a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels, adapting approaches as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure
- Previous experience in a K-12 school environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to handle a varied caseload with diverse speech and language needs
