A comprehensive opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students with speech and language needs at a school in Oroville, CA. This contract position for the current school year (CSY) offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students presenting speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Administer therapy sessions focusing on speech and language skill improvement
- Track, document, and evaluate student progress meticulously
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and other specialists, to coordinate care
- Engage families by educating and involving them in the therapeutic process
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure by the state licensing board
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and family engagement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in California
- Possession or pursuit of a Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
