Located in Penn Valley, CA, this contract position within a K-12 school setting offers a valuable opportunity to support students with speech and language needs throughout the academic year. The role focuses on providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services tailored to a diverse pediatric population.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed evaluations of students experiencing speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific communication goals
- Provide therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language skills
- Carefully monitor and document each student’s progress and outcomes
- Collaborate effectively with educators, medical professionals, and other team members to ensure holistic care
- Educate and involve families in the therapy process to support student development
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Experience with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in the respective state
