A temporary part-time role is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K-12 educational setting in Poteet, TX. This contract position is ideal for an experienced SLPA seeking leave coverage within a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision to support students’ communication goals.
- Monitor student progress and document therapy sessions accurately.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech-language strategies within the classroom.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents regarding student development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program.
- Current state certification or licensure as an SLPA.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech-language pathology principles and childhood communication disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for working with children, families, and educational professionals.
