An opportunity exists for skilled practitioners within educational and healthcare settings. This contract position is based in Hubert, NC, where you will support students in a K-12 school environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices in speech-language pathology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other healthcare professionals
- Experience in data collection and progress documentation
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Location: Hubert, NC
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs as directed by licensed speech-language pathologists
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess students' speech and language needs
- Develop and maintain progress reports and documentation for student performance
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students’ communication goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
