Serving early childhood settings and healthcare environments in the Humboldt County area, this contract position offers a unique opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support infants and toddlers through birth to age three home visits. Located near Rio Dell, CA, this role focuses on early intervention services in a nurturing, developmentally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home-based speech and language therapy sessions for children from birth to age three.
  • Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with state guidelines and program requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Current active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in California or actively in the licensing process.
  • Experience in early childhood speech-language services, especially within home visiting models.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in full or part-time capacities.
  • Bilingual skills are a valuable asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and other service providers.

Location:

  • Position based in the Eureka area, with travel throughout Humboldt County including Rio Dell for home visit sessions.

Contract Details:

  • Early Childhood School contract position for the current school year (CSY).
  • Available for immediate interviews and rapid hire.
