This role provides an opportunity to work with K-12 students, addressing diverse communication needs through targeted interventions. The position is based in Houston, TX, and runs from June 2nd through June 30th, with a commitment of 10-15 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Previous experience working with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Knowledge of current educational practices and regulations related to speech and language therapy
Location: Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of speech and language therapy services as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Conduct assessments and document student progress
- Develop and implement individual student plans tailored to their communication goals
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to support students' needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
