Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in San Francisco, CA

Exciting opportunity available for a motivated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 district near San Francisco, CA. This full-time, contract position runs ASAP through the end of the school year, with potential for extended school year (ESY) coverage.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in California
• Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Adaptability and a collaborative mindset
• Experience in school settings is a plus, but not required
• Positive attitude toward working with diverse student populations
• Ability to follow treatment plans and assist supervising SLP

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
• Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students with communication challenges
• Conduct screenings, assist with assessments, and gather data for progress monitoring
• Prepare materials, document student performance, and maintain records
• Communicate effectively with staff and families, supporting student progress
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and training sessions as needed
