A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K-12 educational setting in San Jose, CA. This full-time contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication development throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Support small group and individual therapy sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure integration of speech goals within the classroom environment
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an SLPA, preferably within a school setting
  • Understanding of K-12 student developmental milestones and communication disorders
  • Ability to follow speech therapy protocols and adapt activities to student needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid SLPA credential or certification necessary for school-based practice
