Seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school setting in Santa Rosa, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering approximately 30 hours per week. The role focuses on providing bilingual (English/Spanish) assessments and assists in alleviating overflow work for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bilingual (English/Spanish) speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students
- Assist the SLP in delivering therapy and intervention sessions as directed
- Support documentation and progress monitoring related to speech and language goals
- Collaborate with educators and speech services staff to enhance student communication outcomes
- Help manage caseload overflow to ensure timely and effective student support
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school environments, preferably with elementary students
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish for assessment and communication purposes
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within a school calendar
- Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
