An onsite Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to provide speech and language services to K-12 students in a school setting located in Texico, NM. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and involves close collaboration with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who provide direct supervision to ensure quality care for students with communication and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, including in high-stress or crisis situations
  • Travel between multiple school buildings as needed during the school day
  • Maintain compliance with program and district guidelines while supporting student progress
  • Work onsite exclusively; virtual work is not available

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or a related field; AAS degree from an SLPA program also acceptable
  • Active SLPA license or certification
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
