Speech Therapist Assistant in Van Nuys, CA

A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Van Nuys, CA, within an elementary school setting. This contract role requires working one day per week across the current school year, supporting students with mild to moderate communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to approximately 18 students spanning Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
• Use bilingual skills (Spanish/English) to effectively communicate with students and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies

Qualifications:

• Valid California SLPA license
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English, verbal and written
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational settings
• Ability to engage and support students with mild to moderate speech and language challenges
