This temporary leave coverage position offers an opportunity to provide vital social work services in a high school setting. The role focuses on supporting high school students with social-emotional challenges, crisis intervention, attendance support, and collaborative efforts with school staff, families, and community resources. The assignment runs from the end of February through the end of the 2025–2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social-emotional support tailored to high school students
- Conduct crisis intervention as needed
- Support student attendance improvement strategies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, families, and community partners
- Maintain accurate case documentation and comply with district protocols
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota School Social Worker license (LGSW, LISW, or LICSW as per district requirements)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to commit to the full contract duration from end of February through the school year’s end
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for working with adolescents, families, and school personnel
