Social Worker in Arlington Heights, IL

Serve as a dedicated Social Worker supporting an elementary school environment, working with students in grades 1-5. This contract position will cover a leave, providing vital social work services to a general population of young learners. The role is based in Arlington Heights, IL, at a specialized educational setting and offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on students' social and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide crisis intervention and support to students as needed.
• Deliver tier 1 classroom lessons focused on social-emotional learning.
• Facilitate social work groups and conduct individual counseling sessions.
• Document IEP minutes and monitor progress toward social work goals.
• Conduct community outreach to connect families with additional resources.
• Perform evaluations for service eligibility and provide ongoing assessments.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience working as a social worker within an elementary school setting.
• Skilled in crisis management and individual/group counseling.
• Knowledge of IEP documentation and goal tracking.
• Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Schedule and Duration:

• Work hours: 7:20 am – 1:50 pm.
• Contract period: Immediate start through March 18, 2026.
