Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school social worker endorsement—this is essential.
  • Background as a school counselor does not qualify for this role; must strictly be licensed as a school social worker.
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly with communication-focused programs or specialized student populations, is highly valued.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs within a classroom or small-group environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students within the communication development program.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain clear documentation of services, progress, and communications in compliance with school and district policies.
  • Attend meetings as needed at one or two school sites.
  • Support the emotional well-being and social skills development of students with communication needs.
