Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school social worker endorsement—this is essential.
- Background as a school counselor does not qualify for this role; must strictly be licensed as a school social worker.
- Experience working within school settings, particularly with communication-focused programs or specialized student populations, is highly valued.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs within a classroom or small-group environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to students within the communication development program.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement appropriate interventions.
- Maintain clear documentation of services, progress, and communications in compliance with school and district policies.
- Attend meetings as needed at one or two school sites.
