A full-time School Social Worker opportunity is available in a K-12 educational setting in Delhi, New York. This contract position follows the school calendar year schedule, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Mondays and 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM Tuesday through Friday. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive social work services to support students’ emotional and mental health, working closely within the school and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling aligned with students’ IEPs, 504 Plans, and Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions developed through the MTSS Committee.
  • Collaborate with families to connect students to community resources that address emotional and mental health needs.
  • Participate as an integral member of the counseling team, aiding faculty in managing crisis situations such as student dysregulation or emotional distress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing LCSW status with supervision arrangements are also considered.
  • Alternatively, New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW) credentials are acceptable.
  • Completion of mandated reporter training as required by New York State education regulations.
  • Approved NYSED fingerprinting and background clearance.
  • Documentation of Sexual Harassment Prevention training per NYSED guidelines.
