A licensed Social Worker with experience in school settings is needed to support students in a K-12 environment, splitting time between a high school life skills class and a transition center serving students aged 18-22. This contract position runs through May 26, 2026, with a focus on providing targeted social work services that help students navigate academic and personal challenges.
Location: On-site in Round Lake, IL
Job Type: Contract (School Year)
Hours: 35 per week
Special Requirements: Professional Educator License (PEL) and proof of degree required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services to high school students in life skills classes and to young adults at the transition center
- Facilitate individual and group interventions to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to develop effective support plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district policies
- Provide crisis intervention and connect students to additional services as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid PEL with school social work endorsement
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students, including those with special needs
- Ability to work on-site with no virtual work option
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
