School-Based Social Worker - Holland, Michigan

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure as a School Social Worker in Michigan
• Demonstrated experience in schools and/or healthcare settings as a social worker
• Background supporting K-3 students, particularly those with diverse or special education needs
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services and counseling to a caseload of special education students
• Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to support student IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies that promote positive outcomes and inclusion
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and referrals as appropriate
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to school and state requirements
