A licensed School Social Worker is needed to provide support at a Middle School through a maternity leave contract lasting from ASAP until December. This role is based in the North Tonawanda, NY area and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a middle school caseload in a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work services to middle school students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and connect students and families with community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall wellbeing of the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid license as a School Social Worker.
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services available to students and families.
