Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a full-time contract position as a School Social Worker. In this vital role, you will help foster the emotional and social well-being of students, offering both one-on-one and group interventions in a supportive school environment. Work weekdays with a consistent 7:15 AM - 2:45 PM schedule (Wednesdays extended until 3:00 PM), and experience an academic year with the possibility of summer, part-time opportunities. The contract’s initial location is in the Warren area, with the option to continue into the following school year at another campus based on performance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current state license as LMSW, LSW, or LCSW with valid RIDE school certification required
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Expertise in leading social skills groups and providing individualized support
  • Ability to manage caseloads and document progress effectively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to students individually and in small groups
  • Facilitate evidence-based social skills groups tailored to diverse learner needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student educational goals
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on social-emotional interventions
  • Support crisis intervention, advocacy, and student referrals to community resources
