School Social Worker - Portage, MI

Join a K-12 educational environment in Portage, MI, as a skilled Social Worker providing essential support to students across the district. This full-time contract position runs during the current school year, offering an opportunity to impact the well-being and academic success of approximately 190 students with IEPs.

This role requires an onsite candidate holding an LMSW license, with preference given to those also licensed under 310. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ IEP goals.
• Conduct assessments and support interventions, utilizing most evaluations and FBAs already completed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment.

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience in educational settings.
