School Social Worker - South Lyon, MI

This full-time Contract Social Worker position is available for the remainder of the school year, from January 1, 2026, through June 12, 2026, serving a K-12 educational environment. The role is based in South Lyon, Michigan, and is dedicated to supporting elementary students in two school buildings. With a focus on mental health and social-emotional development, this position provides essential services to approximately 27 students across a resource room and Level II classroom with varied eligibility areas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering individual and group counseling services to students
• Conducting assessments to identify student needs
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans
• Addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges affecting student achievement
• Connecting families with community resources and support
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Social Worker certification/license relevant to school settings
• Experience working with K-12 students in school environments, preferably with special education eligibility categories
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
