Essential Qualifications:

  • Current LMSW, LSW, or LCSW state license
  • School Social Work certification through RIDE
  • Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal communication and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, ethical, and confidential support to diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and group counseling services tailored to individual student needs
  • Lead social skills groups to foster positive peer relationships and effective communication
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success
  • Conduct needs assessments, create individualized intervention plans, and document progress
  • Participate in meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in adherence to regulatory and district standards
  • Contribute to a positive school climate by promoting social and emotional learning initiatives

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:15am – 2:45pm (Wednesdays go until 3pm)
  • Located near Warwick, RI, with an initial assignment at one campus and the possibility to transition to another the following year
  • Opportunity for renewal based on fit and performance
