Qualifications:
- Hold a current Michigan School Social Worker Certification
- Possess a valid Michigan Social Worker License
- Experience working with pre-K or preschool children preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment and as part of a student support team
Responsibilities:
- Support the full-time school social worker in delivering high-quality services to preschool students
- Provide direct social-emotional support to children, fostering positive development and addressing behavioral or personal challenges
- Liaise with teachers, counselors, and caregivers to coordinate resources and interventions
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education/behavior plans
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of student progress and interactions
- Assist with crisis intervention and implement strategies to promote safe, supportive learning environments
