An opportunity is available for a dedicated special education teacher to work full-time in an adaptive self-contained classroom for high school students (grades 9-12). This position is ideal for a professional with a passion for supporting diverse learners through individualized education approaches.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with adaptive learning requirements.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Managing classroom environments that encourage engagement and growth for students in an adaptive self-contained setting.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborating with families, counselors, and other educators to foster student success.
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal education regulations.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Adaptive Special Education Certification.
- Experience teaching special education at the high school level, ideally in adaptive or self-contained settings.
- Strong understanding of individualized instructional strategies and behavioral support techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
