Special Education Teacher in Alabaster, AL

A Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year (ASAP through the end of the school year) within an elementary school setting focused on grades 4th through 6th. This role involves working primarily in an inclusive and resource setting, providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in grades 4-6 with special education needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with parents, teachers, and support staff.
• Support students within inclusive classroom environments and resource rooms.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification.
• Experience working with elementary students, particularly in 4th to 6th grades.
