Special Education teaching opportunities are available for the current school year within a K-12 setting in Albany, OR. These full-time, in-person positions focus on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across elementary and middle school levels.

Open Positions include:

  • 2 Elementary Resource Teachers specializing in Math, Reading, and Writing support
  • 1 Middle School Developmental Classroom Teacher focusing on low cognitive/basic skills
  • 3 Elementary Developmental Teachers focused on behavior and basic skills development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
  • Deliver differentiated instruction in academic and behavioral support areas
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings, especially in resource or developmental classrooms
  • Strong skills in behavior management and academic support for students with diverse learning challenges
  • Ability to engage students through personalized and adaptive teaching approaches
  • Recent supervisory reference required to be considered for these roles

Additional Details:

  • Positions are contract-based for the current school year
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, onsite teaching
  • In-person interviews begin the week of January 5
