Seeking passionate Special Education professionals to fill multiple onsite, full-time positions in a school-based setting near Albany, OR. Contracts begin as soon as possible and run through June 5, 2026, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ lives across elementary and middle school levels.

Openings include:

  • Elementary Developmental (2 positions): Serve classrooms with 15 students, supported by 6 assistants, addressing Behavior, ASD, and Communication needs.
  • Elementary Behavior: Grades 3–5, 16 students with 5 assistants; focus on behavioral support and intervention.
  • Middle School Resource: Engage with 40 students, collaborating with 2 shared assistants to provide academic and social-emotional support.
  • Elementary Resource: Work across two sites (2 miles apart), supporting 35 students with an assistant in each building.
  • Middle School Behavior: Foster progress in a class of 15 students, with 5 assistants dedicated to behavioral interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Special Education Teacher certification/license for the state of Oregon.
  • Previous experience in special education, with familiarity across grades and specialized needs (behavioral, ASD, resource, or developmental).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educational assistants, therapists, evaluators, and general education staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Deliver targeted instruction using a variety of specialized strategies.
  • Partner with support staff and communicate progress to families and stakeholders.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports the unique needs of each student.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.
