This position requires a Special Education Teacher with experience in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) to work in a group home setting. The role supports students aged 14-21 and offers part-time hours totaling 15-20 per week. The majority of the work will be conducted in person from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with flexibility for indirect service time outside these hours. This is a contract role for the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and needs.
- Collaborate with group home staff and families to ensure consistency and support across environments.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and services delivered.
- Conduct indirect services as needed outside of direct instructional hours.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults aged 14-21.
- Expertise in strategies for supporting students with EBD.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a group home and educational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
