Seeking a Special Education Teacher with expertise in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) to support students in a group home setting. This part-time, contract position serves high school-aged individuals, ages 14-21. The role is located in Americus, GA, and offers a flexible schedule with a combination of in-person and indirect service hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address academic and behavioral goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and well-being.
- Deliver direct instruction on-site from 9 AM to 12 PM.
- Manage flexible hours for indirect services and documentation to accommodate student needs.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment within the group home.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education, with a focus on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Experience working with adolescents aged 14-21.
