Make a real impact each day by providing guidance and instruction as part of a dedicated team supporting students with intensive behavioral needs. This contract opportunity calls for a compassionate, credentialed Special Education Teacher to serve within a center-based behavior program. Work with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, primarily within the 2nd to 5th-grade range—though new arrivals may include K–5. The learning environment boasts a high staff-to-student ratio, including seven skilled educational assistants, ensuring each child receives individualized attention and comprehensive support. While a few students spend most of their day in the center-based setting, many participate in mainstream classes throughout the day, allowing you to collaborate closely with general education staff and help guide reintegration.
You’ll interact with students from a broad spectrum of disabilities, including Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and visual impairments. Your empathy, creativity, and leadership will enable each child to find routine, reach their goals, and build resilience both academically and behaviorally.
