A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Anoka, MN. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and involves working with students requiring specialized instructional support in an inclusive elementary education environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities to promote academic progress and social development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective integration of services and supports
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create adaptive lesson plans and modify instructional materials
