Step into an impactful classroom environment and make a positive difference as an onsite Special Education Teacher for middle school students. Providing instruction and support to students with Emotional Behavior Disorders, you’ll help shape learning experiences and champion academic and personal growth. This contract role runs from March 9th, 2026, through June 5th, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Experience working with emotional behavior disorders at the middle school level is preferred
- Strong skills in individualized instruction, classroom management, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with additional staff, families, and administrators
- A passion for fostering inclusive educational environments and helping all students reach their potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Deliver engaging, standards-based curriculum and adapt lessons for diverse learners
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Track student progress and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in accordance with district policy
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success
