This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide support and case management for middle school students in a Contract role lasting through the current school year. The position focuses on Mild/Moderate disabilities and involves managing caseloads of approximately 25-30 sixth graders.
Location: Arvada, CO
Grade Level: Middle School (6th grade)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Duration: ASAP start through 5/22/2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education License
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and collaborate with general education staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide case management and specialized instruction for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with staff, families, and support personnel to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district regulations
