Special Ed Teacher | Arvada, Colorado

A K-12 educational institution in Arvada, CO, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week) within an Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) center, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' academic and personal growth throughout the current school year.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist licensure is required
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for students with ASD
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students in an ASD center

• Work closely with therapists, administrators, and parents to support student success
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
