Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual IEP goals and aligned with state standards
- Establish a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Apply trauma-informed behavior management strategies to support student well-being and growth
- Collaborate with social workers, therapists, behavior specialists, paraprofessionals, and families to enhance student success
- Develop, review, and maintain IEPs, progress reports, and required documentation
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Monitor student progress continuously and adjust instructional plans as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Experience working with junior high students requiring academic support and therapeutic interventions
- Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
