Serving young learners ages 3 to 5 with diverse developmental needs, the role centers on delivering individualized instruction guided by IEP goals while fostering collaboration among families, therapists, and school staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons tailored to students’ individualized education programs
- Differentiating teaching approaches to accommodate a wide range of abilities and learning styles
- Conducting evaluations, monitoring student progress, and maintaining thorough documentation
- Working closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education teachers to support holistic student development
- Leading IEP meetings and ensuring compliance with IDEA and Illinois state regulations
- Maintaining ongoing communication with families to strengthen home-school connections
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education
- Proven knowledge of early childhood development and familiarity with special education laws and practices
This contract position supports the comprehensive growth of young children in an inclusive early childhood setting located in Aurora, IL, for the full 2025–2026 school year.
