This full-time contract position runs from January 5th to June 12th, 2026, at an elementary school in Aurora, IL. The role involves working in a co-taught classroom alongside a teaching assistant and a general education teacher, delivering tailored support to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction within a co-taught 4th/5th-grade classroom.
  • Collaborate closely with the teaching assistant and general education teacher to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with state standards.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL).
  • Valid Illinois Special Education Teacher Certificate.
  • Experience teaching in an elementary instructional setting, preferably 4th and 5th grade.
