A Full-Time Special Education teaching opportunity in a high school setting is available for the 2025-2026 school year from February 2 through May 1. This contract position is ideal for an educator with an active Illinois Special Education (LBS1) license seeking a role focused on co-teaching within a dynamic high school classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative co-teaching environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support academic and social growth
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to promote student engagement and success
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education License (LBS1) required
- Experience working with high school students and familiarity with co-teaching models preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to support student development and collaboration with colleagues
