This full-time position is for a Special Education Teacher working with PreK-5th grade students in a K-12 school setting. The role is based in Aurora, IL and follows a contract lasting the school year (CSY). It offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience of young learners with special needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education License required
- LBS1 license necessary
- Experience teaching special education students in grades PreK through 5 preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Provide specialized instruction adapting to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with state and federal guidelines
