A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming semester at a high school in Billings, MT. This contract role runs from January 2026 through May 25, 2026, with a schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves working closely with a caseload of 15-20 students, focusing on high school math instruction within a special education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored math instruction to students in grades 9-12, adapting lesson plans to meet a variety of learning needs.
- Manage and support a caseload of 15-20 students, coordinating with general education teachers to promote inclusive learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
- Implement and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification endorsed for grades 5-12 or specifically for high school math.
- Experience in special education preferred, particularly within a high school environment.
