An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher at a high school setting in Billings, MT, for the Spring semester from January 2026 through May 25, 2026. This contract role offers structured support to students with special needs while collaborating closely with general education staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction tailored to students' IEP goals
- Managing a caseload of 15-20 students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers to support inclusive learning environments
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating with families and educational teams
- Participating in team meetings and professional development
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification endorsed for 5-12 grade or specifically in High School Math
- Experience teaching Math at the secondary level, preferably with special education expertise
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction
- Commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
