A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Bluffton, SC, with multiple openings to support early childhood and severe and profound special education programs. These onsite roles involve working directly with students in a school setting, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs.

Locations and Specializations:

• Early Childhood Special Education at Okatie Elementary
• Severe and Profound Special Education at May River High School

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students' abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to support student development
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as necessary
• Promote a positive and safe learning environment that encourages student growth and independence

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience in special education settings, preferably related to early childhood or severe and profound needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to student success
• Ability to adapt teaching practices to meet varied learning styles
