A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school in Boston, MA. This contract role runs from August 25, 2025, through June 23, 2026, serving K-8 students with moderate special education needs. The caseload consists of 9 students, with responsibilities focused on ELA and Math pull-out instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to K-8 students with moderate disabilities in both ELA and Math.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure access to the general curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with families regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid K-8 Moderate Special Education teaching license is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-8) in a special education setting.
- Ability to provide targeted instruction in ELA and Math areas.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
