A middle school in Boston, MA is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a leave contract from November 5th to December 19th. This full-time position involves working with 5th to 8th grade students in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math tailored to the needs of 11 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Moderate to Severe disabilities
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure comprehensive support for students’ academic and social development
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive and structured learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Moderate or Severe disabilities
  • Experience working with middle school students in ELA and Math
  • Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 2:05 PM
  • Position based in Boston, MA
  • Contract duration: November 5th through December 19th
