Middle School Special Education Teacher in Boston, MA

A Special Education Teacher is needed to support middle school students in an inclusive classroom setting. This is a contract position covering a leave of absence, beginning November 25th and ending February 6th, located in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in a middle school environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion classrooms
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to ensure student success

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for middle school
• Experience working with middle school students in an inclusive classroom
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to design and differentiate instruction based on individual student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
