An opening is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in severe autism within a K-12 school setting in Boston, MA. This is a contract position covering a maternity leave from April through July. The role requires onsite presence and offers the valuable opportunity to work closely with students who have severe autism, providing tailored instructional support and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with severe autism
• Utilize specialized teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and other educators
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate effectively with students’ families and staff
• Ensure a supportive and safe classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and development

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education
