A school in Boulder, CO is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a contract role through the 2026 school year. This position focuses on Mild/Moderate needs with case management responsibilities for approximately 25-30 students, primarily 6th graders.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Providing specialized instruction and support for middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Managing case files, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with families and staff
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education License
- Experience working with middle school students in Mild/Moderate settings preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Hours and Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
- Start date ASAP through May 22, 2026
