Special Education Teacher in Brewton, AL

A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support students across K-12 levels in a vibrant school environment in Brewton, AL. This contract position will focus on providing tailored educational support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic growth and social development. Two full-time openings are available, one for a K-3 certified teacher and one for a 9-12 certified teacher. Both positions start immediately and continue through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies.
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting lessons as needed to meet individual goals.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification in Special Education for either K-3 or 9-12 grade levels.
• Experience working with students in a K-12 school setting preferred.
